This sale is for my Weihrauch HW 66 in .22 Hornet, with my matching MAE .22 WMSTS moderator. The rifle has been factory fitted with a "match trigger" and is smooth as silk!
I'm selling as I need the funds to pay for a "BR" (Bench Rest Rifle) in the near future.
As you can see from the pictures, both the rifle and moderator are in as new condition, the stock and barrel have no marks at all! I've put around 200 rounds through her with my home reloads, and in that period I've worked up a load that consistently shoots 1/2" groups at 100 yards, without any signs of over-pressure. If the buyer intends on "reloading" his own ammo, I'll obviously pass this recipe onto the new owner. I also have around 20 complete rounds which will be included in the sale, along with around 60 plus 35 grain V-Max bullets. I bought the rifle as I wanted something between my .17hmr, and my .204R, as I was getting frustrated with having to correct for low wind speeds over distance using the .17hmr. The .22 Hornet has done this, far and beyond what I expected, using the 35 grain V-Max heads.
You will obviously need a slot on your fac for the rifle AND moderator. However, I may split the 2 depending on the price agreed.I also have .22 Hornet reloading equipment for sale. (If anyone wants to do a deal on the lot) The reloading equipment includes an RCBS die set. There is a full length resizing die, a seating die, and Shell holder. All in its original case. Along with around 50+ virgin Remington brass, 100 once fired brass, And 150, 2 to 3 times used brass. The 2-3 times fired brass was bought used by me, so I can’t guarantee Its cycle rate, but they look in good condition. Also, 3/4 tub of Hodgdon's “Lil’Gun" powder, and 1 full sealed unopened tub of “Lil’gun”.Please note the price as per advertised is ONLY for the rifle, moderator, stated, ammo, and heads. Along with the instruction/specification manual.
Everything else will cost extra.In the interest of total honesty, I personally find the magazine fiddly to load compared to my other centre fire, a .204 Ruger. However, I’m told this is due to the high edge/lip of the brass case being slightly wider than the main body of the cartridge. But having said that, once the magazine is loaded, it cycles the rounds perfectly every time!I will post via our retrospective rfd’s, but at the buyers expense.
