Nazi Marked, WW2, 1944, Walther (byf) P38 9mm Parabellum, Semi Automatic Pistol (Matching Numbers)..The Walther P38 was a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol developed by Walther as a service pistol of the Wehrmacht in 1938. This is an excellent, original example of the Walther P38 Pistol. It`s metal work has original finish with nice patina throughout. It`s brown bakelite grooved grips have no cracks and are totally secure. The left side of it`s slide is crisply stamped `P38` and with serial number `7768u`. The slide is also stamped `byf 44` which is the German War time manufacturer and date code `Mauser-Werke KG, Oberndorf on the Neckar 1944`. The frame is also stamped with matching serial number and Waffenamt. The right side of the slide is also Waffenamt. It cocks and dry fires perfectly.
