Deactivated Rare Dutch Old Spec AR10 7.62mm Assault Rifle. The AR10 was first produced by Armalite in 1957. That same year Eugene Stoner, the designer, also sold the rights to the Dutch firm, Artillerie Inrichtingen. They only made 1000 of them and this is one of them. This is the predecessor to the M16 and a rare gun. It was a revolutionary concept and was way ahead of its time. Reports from Portuguese Paratroopers and African troops who used them in bush combat said they were good, reliable weapons, and all agreed that they were very accurate for battle rifles.This gun is an old spec example and can be stripped cocked and dry fired, supplied with deac vert.
