Hundreds of antique weapons for sale. A very rare American Civil War era "Pettengill's Patent" Army model 6 shot, 44 calibre, enclosed hammer double action Percussion Revolver. Made around 1862 -1863 approximately 2000 of these rare revolvers are known to have been ordered by the US government. Action is very crisp. The barrel is marked on top with "Pettengills Patent 1856". These rare revolvers are known to have been delivered to the 3rd Michigan Cavalry during the American civil war circa 1862-1863. The wooden grips are stamped on both sides with US govt markings. Total number produced was around 3400. Condition is good but showing signs of wear and some use. Overall length 14 inches. Ref 7094.
