Description

This is one of the early prototype Japan made "Colt" type Peacemaker which had a very short run before being discontinued. As I understand very few were ever made, and this one carries no markings whatsoever ? From what I have been told by a Japanese collector, there were 1000 units made in each barrel length and in each finish, i.e. blued and nickel plated. The frame is as usual a black powder frame which adds to its scarcity, the barrel is 4 3/4" long and is all metal. All innards are steel, i.e. hammer (with period correct knurling), handspring, bolt & trigger. Not the usual alloy / soft steel parts found on later Japanese replicas.
This replica functions flawlessly, it indexes and locks up extremely tight without any cylinder wobble - as tight as any other blankfirers out there , such as : Adlers, Jagers, ASMs, Piettas & Ubertis and well within Colt ordnance specs !!! This is not some rickety toy but a real collectible, the action is super crisp with all 4 clicks present when hammer is drawn. It also comes with 6 inert cartridges and I was told this can fire some sort of 7mm caps but I don't have the type of cartridges for blank firing (sorry). Ideal for re-enactment or just for plinking for any Rooster Cogburn wannabes. Additional photos on request.
Please note, this is not a cheap Italian Kimar or the nasty Spanish Denix copies which hardly resemble the genuine article let alone function like the real McCoy. The gun is totally unmolested.
