Description

This is a fine c1630 German Matchlock Musket with excellent wood furniture and a fully operating mechanism.

It has an english barrel having grooves to the rear section and has stamped to the top, 'TS' within a shield. There are 2 other stamps to the top barrel, one being a 'H' and the other being a small sword/dagger.

To the right side, behind the mechnism is the Stralsund symbol (founded as Stralow and the arrow (Stral in German) is a canting symbol).

To the left side is a shield with a line travelling horizontally.

The musket has had no restoration and is in complete original condition with ramrod and stand.

It has a 20mm wide barrel (10 bore), the total lenth is 1.58m and the barrel is 1.17m. (trade)
