US Springfield Trapdoor Carbine. 1863/73 Springfield - Norwich Contract Carbine with rare Patent Phoenix trapdoor to take the obsolete 56-56 Spencer rim-fire cartridge. With good bore - no pitting, 24" barrel. Obsolete / antique rifle - Article 58(2). Clean gun in very good cond.
