Description

An interesting pair of Arab conversions of European rifles.
The first is a Chassepot rifle / carbine and bayonet which was brought back from the Aden conflict and given to me in the late 60's. It had been converted to take cartridge ammo - it is however now as it was - an obsolete calibre weapon. It is a fascinating example of those post colonial conflicts. £255 + postage
The second is a much earlier example in which a French lock and stock has been cut down and added to a very much older extremely ornate barrel. The barrel could go all the way back to match lock and is potentially extremely valuable. £200 + postage
