Description

A new spec 3rd Reich P38 pistol with a AC42 code.

The deactivation certificate is dated 16 Jul 2010.

One side of the barrel is marked 'P38 AC42, 6843i', whilst the other side features the Nazi eagle insignia, with the number '359' stamped underneath.

The gun has a barrel that measures 4.9 inches (12.75cm) long, with a overall length of 8.5 inches (21.5cm). It weighs 0.94kg.

The gun is in good condition, with only some surface wear. It can still be cocked and dry-fired.

The Walther P38 is a 9mm semi-automatic pistol that was developed by Walther as the service pistol of the Wehrmacht at the beginning of World War II. When the AC42 was produced, serial numbers started again at 1 and ended in December 1942 at 9999k. No longer were all parts proof marked. Only major assemblies were acceptance proof marked, such as, frame, slide, barrel, and locking block. Total production this year was around 98,600 (trade)
