Description

An old specification deactivated c1922 German "Type II" Zehna 6.35mm semi-automatic pocket pistol. This is a very rare piece.

The deactivation certification is dated 11/5/1993.

The pistol features late slide serrations & extractor. The slide has " 'ZEHNA' Cal. 6.35 D.R.P. a.E. Zehner, Suhl " stamped on one side, with the serial number of 17075 stamped to the other. The pistol does not have a Zehna logo, which are usually attached to either side of the grip.

The pistol has a length of 4.7 inches (12cm). It weighs 0.36kg.

The gun has some minor surface wear, but is in a overall good condition. There is no pitting and the grips are complete. It is in good working order and can be cocked & dry fired.

The Zehna is a pocket pistol manufactured in the 1920s and was named after its designer Emil Zehner. He was the secretary of the Freie Arbiter Union (FAUD), which was an anarcho-syndicalist workers union in Erfurt. By sometime in 1937 or 1938 the Gestapo had arrested nearly 90 FAUD members, some of whom were murdered or otherwise did not survive the war. (trade)
